Chaplain Father  Vincent Capodanno was attached to the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam in 1966-67. In his second tour with the Marines he went out on a combat patrol with his men during Operation Swift. During the operation Chaplain Capodanno was killed aiding and comforting multiple wounded and dying marines and a Navy Corpsman. He was killed on September 4, 1967, and posthumously received the Medal of Honor for actions that day. This is his story.
